When you’re window-shopping for a new home, know that Clayton cares about every detail and feature, including the windows. Find out why we exclusively use Lux® windows and what that means for you as a homeowner.

With a new home, a lot of the focus is on the door that’s welcoming you in, but we think the windows deserve just as much love. At Clayton, it’s all about the details, from the flooring to the cabinets and, of course, the windows. That’s why we partner with trusted brands to ensure there are a variety of quality products in your new home, and Lux® windows is no exception.

Features of Lux® Windows

Lux® windows are designed to have thinner sight lines, with options like sliding windows and doors or twin single windows, which means you see less of the window itself and more of the view. They’re also built to be as durable as they are stylish, with insulated vinyl and double-paned glass. Insulated vinyl is more resistant to impact, heat loss and condensation.

This means your home’s windows are easy to clean and can require less maintenance than some other window materials, like aluminum or wood.

Energy Efficiency and Comfort

Helping keep your home comfortable and efficient is a window’s main job. Lux® windows have double-paned, insulated glass to help reduce your home’s energy usage as well as outside noise. Plus, every window includes low emissivity glass with a special coating and argon gas for added energy efficiency by reducing the amount of UV rays from coming into your home.

What does that mean for you? When it’s hot outside, Lux® insulated windows works to keep that heat out. When it’s cold outside, the heat inside will stay right where you want it. Lux®’s superior insulation and low-E glass help regulate your home’s temperature and energy use, and keep your curtains, carpet and furniture from becoming faded over time due to UV ray exposure. That performance is why Lux® windows are one of the many features included in Clayton’s eBuilt® homes**, which are designed to reduce annual energy costs and help to lower the overall costs of homeownership.
