Home Building
Did you know our homes are built using many of the same materials as site-built homes? Learn more about the process of building a manufactured home here.
How long does it take to build a home?
Clayton’s home building facilities can usually build a prefabricated home from start to finish in about 6-7 days. However, several factors can affect how long the entire home construction process may take, like what features are in the home, the amount of home orders that specific building facility has or the home site. You also can contact your local home center to see if they have any pre-built homes available for purchase, which could reduce your wait time.
Are your homes strong enough to withstand storms and strong winds?
Today’s manufactured homes are built to federal construction codes that account for factors like location to make sure the home is designed for the weather in that area. These updated standards mean a properly built and installed manufactured home can potentially withstand strong winds or weather events as well as a site-built home.
