Home Features
Finding a home you love includes checking the boxes on your wishlist. Learn more about features and specifications of a new Clayton home.
Are your homes customizable?
Our homes typically include personalization options like paint color, flooring, built-in features and cabinet colors. You’ll also find floor plan configurations like an additional bedroom, different kitchen or bathroom layouts, and flex spaces. You can speak to a home center consultant about any specific upgrade options you may be interested in.
Can I get a basement for my new home?
Yes, in some situations, you can have a basement depending on your land and state and local building regulations. Your local home consultant can help you learn more about what land improvement and site preparation options are right for your specific needs.
Do you have homes with drywall?
Yes, a drywall interior is an option in many of our manufactured and modular homes. You can search for floor plans with drywall that are available near you using the features filter on our Find a Home page.

Do you have homes with porches?
Yes, many of our homes include options for a variety of different porch styles, including front porches, wraparound porches and back porches. You may also be able to add a porch, patio or carport to the design of your home or once your home is complete.
Do you have homes with garages?
Yes, we do offer garage options for specific homes. If you would like to add a garage to your home, it will need to be added to the design before your home is built. You and your home consultant will also need to check with the local building department or permitting office to understand all local codes and building regulations. You can also consider adding a detached garage once your home is built. Check with your home center to see if they offer detached garage options.
